Just a short note and quick heads-up to those who follow me on academia.edu (my profile here). I have become increasingly irritated with the way academia.edu has developed in recent years, with an increasingly commercial model that first wants our work shared on it for free, then trying to coax us to coughing up money for premium content, to know readers, and mentions.

I have yet to decide to close down the account completely, but have already removed all the material I had shared there, replacing them with links to the same material posted here on my blog, along with my Curriculum Vitae.
