Breaking the Word seems an apt title for the English version meant to share some material for prayer on the Bible, in the style of the Lectio Divina. This project of mine actually two years ago, in Italian, with under the name Intorno al Fuoco (literally, “around the campfire”), with Italian scouts as my main target audience. Considering the readership of these blog posts, I have been thinking that I should add also some posts in English too.

The aim of this project is simple. Firstly, to the share the Word, the Holy Scriptures, with prayer material for Lectio Divina. Secondly, I also offer some practical suggestions for prayer. Finally, conversations on a spiritual topic, a sort of Campfire yarn in B.-P. style.

My plan is to offer some new reflections in English, as well as include English versions of the Lectio that I have already proposed in Italian [proposte di lectio]. I hope this way to offer more material both in Italian and English. I’m not planning a strict translations — I don’t want to lose the informal style of the blog — but will re-propose and adapt the material for prayer into English … or Italian as the case may be.
