Just read the news of Mgr. Cremona’s passing this night. Despite spending most of my religious and priestly life abroad, which meant that I have had very little contact over the years, there always remains a strong debt of gratitude towards one’s ordaining bishop.
He was a man who loved the Church, and dedicated himself heart and soul to it. We pray for him, but with great hope, that he be received into eternal light, and ask him — before the Lord — to pray for us and for God’s Church.
‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (Matthew 25,21)
