Per lungo tempo ho resistito a scrivere una dispensa, per evitare di diventare per voi la sola voce, l’unico interprete. Lungo gli anni, però, mi rendo conto che è utile offrire una guida chiara in una materia molto vasta e variegata. Spero che la leggiate con questo spirito, come un aiuto alla navigazione nella materia.

Dear students, welcome to this page dedicated to my course notes on archaeology and geography of the Bible. For a long time, I had resisted to the idea of writing a set of course notes, to avoid become for you the sole voice, the only interpreter. Over the years, however, I’ve come to realise the usefulness of a clear guide to a vast and varied discipline. I hope that you may read these notes in that spirit, as a tool to find your way around.
